The fire took his face… and nearly took his life.

Bernard is only 19 years old—his future was supposed to be filled with endless possibilities and bright dreams.
But a sudden, devastating fire changed everything in an instant.

He not only lost all of his family, but his own face was consumed by the flames.
The lower half of his face fused with his neck, his teeth left exposed to the air, and his skin severely burned.
He can’t speak properly, can’t eat normally, and can’t even lift his head to look others in the eye—because he knows his appearance frightens people.

From that day forward, Bernard’s life became a nightmare.
He stopped going outside, stopped looking in the mirror, and stopped hoping for hugs or warmth from others.
He once said, “The worst part isn’t the physical pain—it’s the way people look at me, like I’m a monster.”

But thankfully, many kind-hearted people stepped forward.
Together, we raised enough money for Bernard’s first reconstructive surgery.
Just last week, he underwent his first operation—and it was a success!
For the first time, Bernard can open his mouth. He was able to eat with a spoon again.
He cried—not from pain, but from the overwhelming feeling of dignity and hope.

But this is only the beginning.

Bernard’s skin remains extremely fragile. Every time he steps outside, he must apply expensive protective ointments.
He still needs at least three more surgeries, and years of rehabilitation ahead.
For a young man who has lost everything and has no source of income, these ongoing costs are simply impossible to bear alone.

We can't let him face this alone.
Your donation could be the turning point in his journey to recovery.
What you’re giving isn’t just money—it’s the chance for a young man to live a life with dignity again.
